Christine Herbert

Christine qualified as a Western herbalist in 1997 and has helped thousands of patients over the years. Apart from herbalism, she has practiced iridology, applied kinesiology, tongue diagnosis, and flower remedy therapy, and has used elements of Ayurveda and TCM. 

Christine is an honorary fellow and past council member of the Association of Master Herbalists (AMH), and has co-edited their professional journal for many years. She also co-edited and wrote articles for The Herbalist, the journal of the Association of Master Herbalists and the United Register of Herbal Practitioners. She also worked as a biomedical scientist for the NHS for 18 years in haematology where she gained a Fellowship of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (FIBMS).

She is an Associate member of the ANP. She currently focuses on teaching and writing to pass on her expert knowledge and experience. 

In her talk, Christina will focus on ‘Chronic inflammation – finding the cause of the fire’.

Chronic inflammation is undoubtedly the underlying cause of most of the chronic diseases affecting most of our patients, including metabolic disease, gut inflammation, allergies, dementia and cancer. Identifying the cause of the fire is the first step to designing a successful therapeutic protocol.

This talk will discuss:

  • The risk factors for and causes of chronic inflammation
  • The body systems key to the inflammatory process 
  • Dietary strategies and herbal remedies to resolve inflammation
